Buy Local Beer

Hey All!

I am here today to promote a new campaign that was recently launched this past February called Buy Local Beer. The “Buy Local Beer” campaign is a partnership between the Montana Brewers Association (MBA), Montana Restaurant Association (MRA), and Montana Tavern Association (MTA). With such a growing passion for beer emerging in the state of Montana, this campaign steers our communities to stay local and seek out the local craft scene.

Being part of the Montana Brewers Association enables us to really be a part of a larger community of local businesses not just in Missoula, but also throughout the state of Montana. Here at Draught Works Brewery, we have embraced the campaign “Buy Local Beer” and are passionate in supporting our fellow local businesses.

A reason we love this town is the support from the people who live here. Missoula has such a strong sense of staying local, and supporting our friends and neighbors. We appreciate the immense variety of beer our town, and now state has to offer, and want to continue this development.

Since craft beer is still something of a new phenomenon, people immediately steer toward what they know which are the larger beer corporations like Anheuser Busch, Pabst Brewing Co., or Heineken. Especially for those who have not been immersed into craft beer, it can be very intimidating straying from common ground. And while it is evolving with such brute force, it can be daunting to walk into a brewery unsure of what might come of it.

With that being said, this is where we come in! We want people to come in to the brewery, and get a better understanding of what craft beer is, and the assorted styles that accompany it. There are so many different styles of beer to fit an array of different palates. Our taproom is staffed with cicerone certified servers, who can take a beer you know and love, and offer a similar one that you will enjoy!

The “Buy Local Beer” campaign is something that we and other businesses are working closely with, and hope to spread to the community. If you want to learn more are about this movement, click here!
